Ingredients :
[ Makes 12 Large Scones]
700g Flour
170g Butter
90g Sugar
10 Teaspoon of Baking Powder
1 Egg
150 ml Milk
Method :
Preheat oven to 325 F / 160 C / Gas Mark 3.
In a large bowl mix the flour, sugar baking powder and butter. Leave the butter cold and cut into cubes. Mix until it looks a bit crumbly.
Add the egg and milk and mix to start forming a dough.
Gradually add Milk until the dough gets together - do not add too much milk otherwise the dough will be sticky.
Roll dough on a floured surface and using a scone cutter cut into 12 circles. Make sure dough is not to thick and not to thin.
Once they are placed on prepared baking tray with baking sheet leave scones to set for around 10 minutes.
Bake for 15 minutes.
Serve with home-made Jam and Clotted Cream !!!

For fancy and fun scones you can add White Chocolate Chips ,Cranberries, Orange Zest, Sprinkles, Funfetti etc .
