Gingerbread Cookies - My personal fav !!






Ingredients :


  • 850g Flour

  • 2 Teaspoon Ground Ginger

  • 1 Teaspoon Ground Cinnamon

  • 1 Teaspoon Ground Cloves

  • 1 Teaspoon Salt

  • 250g Butter

  • 1 Egg

  • 125ml Golden Syrup

  • 125ml Black Treacle

  • 1/2 Teaspoon Baking Soda

  • 250g Brown Sugar


Method :


  1. Preheat oven at 325 F / 160 C.

  2. Cream together the Butter and Sugar in a mixer.

  3. In a separate bowl , sieve the flour, baking soda and all spices together. Set aside.

  4. In a medium bowl mix together the Golden Syrup, Black Treacle and egg, mix well and set aside.

  5. Combine the Dry ingredients with the butter mixture .

  6. Add the Salt and Golden Syrup mixture and give it a few turns until it becomes a dough .

  7. Leave to rest for 15minutes.

  8. Using a rolling pin open the dough and cut out forms using your desired shapes.

  9. Bake for 15minutes at 160C .

  10. When cooked place them on a tray.

  11. You can also decorate with some Royal Icing !
